NEI is seeking a highly technical individual with experience in coatings science and engineering, especially polymer coatings.

The primary job responsibilities for this position will be new product development through industrial joint development programs, and contract research and development. The individual’s responsibility will be to augment existing product development programs at NEI Corporation in the area of industrial coatings. The individual should have hands-on experience with common industrial coating systems, such as polyurethane and epoxy. The successful candidate will need to apply materials engineering principles to develop coating formulations for complex coating problems.

Hands-on experience with materials synthesis and coatings formulations
Knowledge and experience in polymer synthesis
Expertise in testing corrosion protection coatings
Materials characterization skills
Applications development experience
Grant writing and presentation skills

Candidates meeting the requirements for this position may come from a wide variety of technical fields such as Chemical Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering with either a PhD or MS degree. 2 - 5 years experience with chemical or materials industry experience is preferred for this position.
