NANOMYTE® TC-5001-UVP

Anti-Corrosion Coating with UV Protection for Zinc-plated & Galvanized Steel

NANOMYTE® TC-5001-UVP is a single component formulation designed to protect zinc-plated and galvanized steel from corrosion and degradation. The product is a hard, dense nanocomposite coating that provides barrier protection for the alloy surface, and is enhanced with UV-protective properties to shield coated surfaces from the harmful effects of sun and weather exposure. NANOMYTE® coating products with UVP technology have demonstrated their ability to endure a minimum of 1,000 hours of weatherability testing (ASTM D4587). NEI’s UVP coatings block UV radiation, which protects surfaces by preventing further penetration of UV light, thereby preserving the material’s strength, coating adhesion, and appearance.

TC-5001-UVP is applied on top of the galvanized steel to act as a dense, hard and durable coating to eliminate contact between metal and moisture. The coating also reduces the chipping of paint, as observed on galvanized steel, and adheres strongly to bare or painted metal surfaces. TC-5001-UVP can also be used in conjunction with NANOMYTE® PT-100 self-healing pretreatment for superior corrosion protection. The formulation can be tailored to meet customers’ specifications and can be applied by dipping, spraying, or brushing – microns to mils thick.
