Prussian Blue Electrode Sheets on Al

NANOMYTE® NAB-80E

NANOMYTE® NAB-80E is a cast electrode sheet formulated with our NAB-80 Prussian Blue (Sodium Iron Hexacyanoferrate) powder as the active material.

Our standard NAB-80E electrode sheets are 5 inches x 10 inches (127 mm x 254 mm) and cast single-sided on 16 µm thick aluminum foil current collector, or double-sided (NAB-80E-DS) upon request. NEI can also customize Prussian Blue electrodes to your specification, such as active material loading, electrode composition, binder type, current collector, and more.

NAB-80E cathode electrode sheets are available in ready-to-use packages of 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 sheets (or more).

Prussian Blue Electrodes Safety Information (NAB-80E)

This product is defined as an “Article” under the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) and the REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006. In its manufactured and shipped form, it does not pose a physical hazard or health risk to humans or the environment.

Precautions for Safe Handling: Appropriate personal protective equipment should be used at all times. Handle in a dry and well-ventilated area. Avoid creasing and folding, or actions that abrade, sand, or grind the coated surface, as this can cause the coating to delaminate or flake off, creating unnecessary dust.

Conditions for Safe Storage: Store sheets flat and in a dry and well-ventilated place, away from heat and moisture —ideally a desiccator or a dry box.

Refer to the Safety Data Sheet for complete information on the safe handling and storage of this material.

About Prussian Blue Analogs (PBAs)

Prussian Blue Analogs (PBAs) are transition metal hexacyanoferrates with a porous 3D crystal structure. Their open framework allows sodium ions (Na+) to insert and extract rapidly with minimal volume change, enabling fast charging, stable cycling, and long battery life using low-cost, abundant raw materials.

Prussian Blue is the classic, single-electron redox variant of PBAs (x ≈ 1). Characterized by lower initial sodium content and higher vacancy concentration compared to Prussian White, Prussian Blue operates primarily on the iron redox couple (Fe2+/Fe3+). It offers excellent structural durability, high thermal stability, and robust moisture resistance, making it a reliable, cost-effective cathode choice for aqueous sodium-ion batteries, non-aqueous systems, and long-life stationary energy storage.
