NANOMYTE® Prussian White Cathode Products
Prussian White (Sodium Manganese Hexacyanoferrate) is a high-performance Prussian Blue Analog (PBA) cathode material engineered for sodium-ion batteries. NEI produces and supplies Prussian White (Na1.79Mn[Fe(CN)6]0.87) as both a Cathode Active Material (CAM) powder (NAB-85) for custom formulation and as pre-cast cathode electrode sheets/tapes (NAB-85E) on aluminum foil current collectors for immediate cell assembly and testing.
Prussian White Cathode Powder
NANOMYTE® NAB-85
NANOMYTE® NAB-85 Sodium Manganese Hexacyanoferrate powder (Na1.79Mn[Fe(CN)6]0.87) is engineered for use as a cathode material for sodium-ion battery manufacturing and research. Classified as a Prussian Blue Analog (PBA), this sodium-rich Prussian White powder delivers reliable electrochemical performance for custom electrode mixing and formulation.
NAB-85 is supplied in quantities of 25g, 50g, 100g, and 250g (larger quantities are available upon request). It is also supplied as pre-cast electrode sheets (NAB-85E).

Prussian White Electrodes Safety Information (NAB-85E)
This product is defined as an “Article” under the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) and the REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006. In its manufactured and shipped form, it does not pose a physical hazard or health risk to humans or the environment.
Precautions for Safe Handling: Appropriate personal protective equipment should be used at all times. Handle in a dry and well-ventilated area. Avoid creasing and folding, or actions that abrade, sand, or grind the coated surface, as this can cause the coating to delaminate or flake off, creating unnecessary dust.
Conditions for Safe Storage: Store sheets flat and in a dry and well-ventilated place, away from heat and moisture —ideally a desiccator or a dry box.
Refer to the Safety Data Sheet for complete information on the safe handling and storage of this material.
About Prussian Blue Analogs (PBAs)
Prussian Blue Analogs (PBAs) are transition metal hexacyanoferrates with a porous 3D crystal structure. Their open framework allows sodium ions (Na+) to insert and extract rapidly with minimal volume change, enabling fast charging, stable cycling, and long battery life using low-cost, abundant raw materials.
Prussian White is a sodium-rich, high-capacity variant of PBAs (x ≈ 2). Unlike conventional Prussian Blue, Prussian White utilizes dual-electron redox reactions from both iron and manganese (Fe2+/Fe3+ and Mn2+/Mn3+). This enables high specific capacities (~140–170 mAh/g) and a favorable operating voltage (~3.0–3.4 V vs. Na/Na+), making optimized compositions like Sodium Manganese Hexacyanoferrate (Na1.79Mn[Fe(CN)6]0.87) ideal for commercial sodium-ion batteries and stationary energy storage.
